Elizabeth Elaine Johnson, age 89, of Jackson, GA, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at Westbury Medical Care Home. She was born on Saturday, March 7, 1925 in Cork, GA to the late Eddie Lawrence Smith and the late Elizabeth Goodrum Smith. She was a retired nursing companion. Elaine loved everybody and would help anyone that was in need, if possible. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Hardy.

Elaine is survived by her children, Joan and Buck Stewart of Jackson, Barry and Denise Hardy of Duluth; grandchildren, Teri Stewart of Norcross, Mike Stewart of Jackson, Barry Lynn Hardy of Brookhaven; great-grandson, Dylan Stewart of Jackson; loving companion, Calvin Johnson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Elaine Johnson will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Steve Murell officiating. Interment will be at Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday.
