Mrs. Elise Powell, age 76, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020. She was born on Friday, January 29, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of the late George Joseph Recktenwald and the late Dora Dee Brown Recktenwald. She enjoyed camping, boating, skiing, fishing and loved the mountains.

Elise is survived by her husband, Dudley (Ronnie) Powell; children and their spouses, Cyndi and Ricky Brown, Dee and Danny Harris, Lee and Evonne Powell; grandchildren, C.J. Clanton and Brit, Tyler Griffith, Kirstin Sheffey, Amber Powell, Brittney Brown, Wesley Brown; four great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Buddy Frye; sister-in-law, Linda Recktenwald; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mrs. Elise Powell will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Nathan Dorsey officiating.
