Mr. Paul Howard Gunter Sr., age 73, and Mrs. Ellen Smith Gunter, age 63, of Barnesville passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at their residence. Mrs. Gunter was born in Griffin to the late Mr. Hoke Smith and the late Mrs. Ethel Whitfield Smith, and was a Retired Nursing Assistant.

Survivors include Mrs. Gunter's Father-in-law – Rev. Dr. Olin E. Gunter ; 1 Brother-in-law – Dan (& Lynn) Gunter ; 1 Sister-in-law – Evelyn (& Boyd) Weese ; 4 Sons – Rev. Dr. Paul H. (& Kay) Gunter Jr. ; Michael W. (& Nancy) Gunter ; Mark S. (& Leigh) Gunter ; & Marty (& Patti) Gunter ; 2 Daughters – Sandra D. (& George W.) Brooks ; & Chloe Gunter ; 11 Grandchildren – Amanda L. (& Rev. James) Steelman ; Christopher M. (& Jennifer) Archer ; Brittany Gunter ; Crystal (& Andrew) Hudson ; Samantha Archer ; Joshua Gunter ; Sean Gunter ; Julie Gunter ; David Brooks ; Tyler Brooks ; & Arin Brooks ; & a Great Grandchild – Cynthia D. Hudson

A Memorial Service for Mr. Paul Howard Gunter Sr. and Mrs. Ellen Smith Gunter will be conducted Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 3 O'Clock in the Griffin Church of the Nazarene.
