Mrs. Emma Sue Johnson, age 93, of Covington, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Piedmont Newton Hospital. She was born on Monday, July 24, 1922 in Covington, GA to the late John William Bankston and the late Sinia Lavonia Kitchens Bankston. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Towaliga Baptist Church. She loved to read her Bible and travel. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Aubrey H. Johnson, Paul Hurst, and Marvin Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Howard Johnson, Charlotte Hodges, Donna Jean Moon, Joyce Hall; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Sue Johnson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy L. Mangham officiating. Interment will be at Worthville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
