Mr. Orman "Emory" Cooper, age 79, of Barnesville, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 in Lamar County. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his Parents: Terrell & Fannie Cooper and by his Brothers: Joe & Wayne Cooper.

Mr. Cooper was World War II Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army, and had once served as Constable of Lamar County. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Barnesville. Mr. Cooper had been an employee of Haisten Martin Funeral Home, and was Self-employed as a Carpenter and Builder.

He is survived by his Wife of 53 years: Mrs. Jacquelyn B. Cooper; his Daughter: Cindy Grantham & her Husband: Kenny, of Barnesville; Son: Craig Cooper and his Wife: Suzanne, of Barnesville; Brothers: Shedrick Cooper of Barnesville, and Billy Cooper and his Wife: Tiggie of Arlington, VA.; his Sisters: Ivelyn Ogletree of Barnesville, and Yvonne Melvin and her Husband: Harvey, of Barnesville; Grandchildren: Joey Faulkner and his Wife: Rachel; Adam and Alyssa Rowell; Anna and Eric Cooper; and four Great-Grandchildren. Numerous Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Orman Emory Cooper will be conducted Friday, May 29, 2009 at 11 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Reverend Dewey Grimsley officiating. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home of Barnesville on Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 6pm until 8pm.
