Evelyn Elaine Gordon, age 69, of Jackson, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Canton, GA. She was born on January 19, 1945 in Atlanta, GA to the late Martin McDaniel and the late Beatrice Harrison McDaniel. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Gordon. Before retirement, she was the manager at Piggly Wiggly.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Scott Jeffrey Hood; step-daughters and son-in-law, Nita and Danny Gunter, Sabrina Griffin; grandchildren, Brittany, Ryan, Jacob, Joshua, Auburney and Casey; great-grandchildren, Corbin, and Avery; and special niece, Towanna Lane.

Memorial services for Evelyn Gordon will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfh.com.
