Mrs. Floydell Holloway Franklin, age 73, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. She was born Thursday, September 4, 1941 in Russellville, Georgia to Charlie Holloway and Myrtice Lucille Ruffin Holloway Kitchens. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Luther O. "Kitch" Kitchens. She was a member of the Stark United Methodist Church. Floydell dedicated her life to the care of her mother and family.

Floydell is survived her by sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A. Franklin IV and Vickie Franklin, Charles Burton Franklin and Dr. Kirsten Franklin; grandchildren, Hannah Franklin, Ethan Franklin, Melissa Van Vorst and Michael Van Vorst; brother, Charles Holloway; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Floydell Holloway Franklin will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Dr. S. Ed Hoard and Reverend Frank Brock officiating. Interment will follow in Stark Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Eternal Hope Hospice, 732 West Taylor Street, Griffin, Georgia 30223 in memory of Mrs. Floydell H. Franklin.
