Mrs. Frances Oliver Syring, of Jackson, GA, died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Westbury Medical Care Home. She was born August 30, 1923 in Barnesville, GA to the late Walter and Rosa Scroggins Oliver. Mrs. Syring loved dressing up, bingo and football. She loved her family, but her grandchildren were the sunshine of her life. Mrs. Frances Syring is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Dwight Townsend, of Jackson; Louise and Gerald Marshall, of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Jamie Townsend and Celena Stokes, Jodi and Daniel Smith, Brad Marshall, Wes & Rebecca Marshall 6 great-grandchildren; niece and nephews, Ann Bennett, Kay Russell, Fay Eller, Ken Elliott. She was preceded in death by husband, James Trice Syring. Grave side funeral services for Mrs. Frances Syring will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville with Rudy Mangham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 - 1:30 PM Wednesday. Sherrell Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Frances Oliver Syring.
