Obituary

Mr. Franklin Delano Maffett, age 90, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.



Frank was born on Friday, March 2, 1934, in Monroe, Georgia, to the late Enos Franklin Maffett and the late Annie Clementine Young Maffett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Chaloria Ann Maffett; grandchildren; Roger Keith Maffett Jr., Jennifer Hope Maffett, Ryan Keith Lunsford; sisters; Elsie Mae Couch, Doris Milloy; daughter in law; Sue Maffett.



Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved his family with all his heart. He served his country in the United States Army where he proudly served during the Korean War. He will be missed by all, but we know he lives on in our hearts.


He is survived by his children and their spouses, Keith Maffett of Albany, GA, Donna (Ray) Lunsford of Stockbridge, GA and Debbie (Mark) Wallace of Belville, NC; 7 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; sisters; Mabel League, Margaret Mathis; brother; Gerald Maffett; sister-in-law; Nellie Holt.


Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. in Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Pastor David Dawson officiating. Interment will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
