Mr. Gary Wayne Dobbs, of Jackson, GA, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Henry Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1951 in Atlanta, GA to James and Eleanor Whitley Dobbs. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a meat cutter for 32 years. Wayne was a great man. He enjoyed being with his family, joking, and having an all around good time. Mr. Wayne Dobbs is survived by his wife, Joylene Dobbs, of Jackson; daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and Jason Grimsley, of Newnan; son, James Dobbs, of Jackson; 2 grandsons, Brady and Owen Grimsley; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Dobbs, of McDonough, Robert and Betty Dobbs, of Talking Rock, James Dobbs, of TX; sister-in-law, Susan Berry, of Jackson; brother-in-law, David Berry; of Stockbridge; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Allen, and daughter, Christy Dobbs. Memorial services for Mr. Wayne Dobbs will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 24, 2011 in the Chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with Rudy Mangham officiating.
