Mrs. Gayle Smith, age 78, of Milner, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Smith was born January 28, 1937 in Atlanta, daughter of the late Julian Ralph and Effie Lillian Butler Boyle. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Gordy Smith of Milner; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Mike Maynard of Milner; granddaughter, Mandy Maynard of Statesboro; sister and brother-in-law, Julianne and Roger Shannon and brother and sister-in-law, Truman and Denise Boyle, all of Barnesville; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Wednesday at Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Rev. Garth Forster and Rev. Franklin Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Milner Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00.
