George William Wesley Smith, of Jackson, GA, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012. He was born on June 18, 1935 in Atlanta, GA to the late Oscar and Hester Anne Hendley Smith. George served in the US Army. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, Popeye's fried chicken, tomato gravy, and playing cards. George is survived by his wife, Lynn Moody Smith, of Jackson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey and John Adkins, of McDonough, Melissa and Tim Ebert, of McDonough, and Melinda and Chad Mullikin, of Pateley Bridge, UK; six grandchildren, Tony Adkins, Corey Adkins, Pierce Smith, Morgan Ebert, Drake Mullikin, Scout Mullikin; and several nieces and nephews.
