Mr. Gerald Lee Powell, age 73, of Barnesville passed away on March 26, 2012 in a Thomaston Healthcare facility. Mr. Powell was born in Shelby, NC to the late Mr. Grover Powell and the late Mrs. Clara Moore Powell. He was a District Supervisor with Tindall Concrete.

Survivors include his Wife – Carol Powell of Barnesville ; a Son – Cale Powell of Barnesville ; a Daughter – Monica V. Carns of Barnesville ; 2 Brothers – Roger (& Bessie) Powell of Charlotte, NC ; & Jimmy Powell of North Carolina ; 6 Grandchildren – Amber Parker ; Tim Parker ; Drew Van Houten ; Hannah Carns ; Ben Carns ; & Michael Powell ; 2 Great Grandchildren – Austin Miler ; & Caden Van Houten ; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Other Relatives also survive.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Gerald Powell will be conducted on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 2 O' Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The Family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, March 28, 2012 from 6 pm until 8 pm.
