Mrs. Grace Evans Ballard, 86, of Barnesville, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Jonesboro. She was born August 7, 1931, daughter of the late Jackson Robert and Ethel Bedingfield Evans. She was a member of Ramah Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Ballard loved cooking, flowers, and gardening.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Arthur Jinks of Jonesboro, Vicky and Bruce Gant of Titusville, FL, Rhonda and Harry Hargens of Hampton; son, Richard (Rick) D. Ballard, Jr. of Hampton; six grandchildren, Erin Jinks, Whitney Jinks, Amanda Biggs, Christopher Hargens, Linda Keating and Patrick Hargens; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anita Young and Betty Edge; four brothers, Prentice Evans, David Evans, James Evans and Ray Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Richard (Dick) D. Ballard, Sr.; and two brothers, Roy Evans and Richard Evans.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 Saturday at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Kurt Bacon officiating. Interment will be at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Breedlove Memorial Chapel Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00.
