Mr. Grady L. Petty, age 74, of Jackson , GA died Sunday March 13, 2011 at Christian Ministries. He was born July 23, 1936 in Conley, Ga to the late Joe and Sarah Peppers Petty. He loved his family and friends very much. He also loved hunting, fishing, and woodwork. Grady's CB radio handle was "Jackson Jackrabbit". Grady is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Wayne Haynie, of Fayetteville, GA, Tina and Joe Patrick, Jr., of Jackson; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Joanne Petty, Tommy and Teresa Wood, all of Jackson; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services for Mr. Grady L. Petty were held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in the Chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment followed at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Forest Park GA. The family received friends at the funeral home Monday, March 14, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Sherrell Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Grady L. Petty.
