Mr. Gregory Leon "Greg" Couey, age 57, of Jackson, GA passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at Newton Medical Center in Covington. He was born on Sunday, January 26, 1958 in Anniston, AL to Helen Virginia Waddell Couey and the late Tracey Couey. Greg worked for Toga Manufacturing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and scuba diving.

Greg is survived by his wife of 30 years, Terry Mixon Couey; son, Daniel G. Couey; step-daughter-in-law, Tonya Moon; grandchildren, Thad Moon, Chelsea Moon, and Gabriel Jaxon Couey; mother, Ginny Couey; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Elaine Couey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glenn and Deborah Mixon; sister-in-law and her fiancé, Sharon Ingram and Lewis Maddox; brother-in-law, Glenn Mixon; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Greg Couey will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Rick Moncrief officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening.
