Mr. Harold Owen Buchanan, Jr., age 75, of Barnesville passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in a Warm Springs Healthcare Facility. A lifelong resident of Lamar County, he was the son of the late Mr. Harold Owen Buchanan, Sr. and the late Mrs. Thelma Harrellson Buchanan, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Betty Jo Goins Buchanan. Mr. Buchanan was an Electrician, and Retired from the General Tire - Aldora Mills after 42 years of service. He was also a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include: 3 Sons - Morris (& Debbie) Buchanan of Duluth, Kevin (& Pennie) Buchanan of Clemmons, NC, & Allen (& Shannon) Buchanan of McDonough ; 1 Step-Daughter - Cindy (& Bill) Mitchell of Barnesville ; 3 Step-Sons - Tim Helton of Molena, Keith Helton of Auburndale, FL, & Gary Campbell of Auburndale, FL ; Numerous Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, & Other Relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Harold Buchanan, Jr. will be conducted on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 2 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Thursday evening (1-7-10) from 6pm until 8pm.
