Mrs. Hattie Faye Horton Ledford, age 83, of Jackson, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023.
Faye was born on Sunday, August 13, 1939, in McDonough, Georgia to the late Clifford Horton and the late Mildred Thomas Horton. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Lewis Ledford; stepson, Lonnie Ledford; and nephew, Kenneth Cook. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Faye enjoyed watching nature, getting dressed up and wearing jewelry. She also loved listening to country music and going to Florida.
Faye is survived by her stepchildren and spouse, Donald Ledford, Michael Ledford, Mary Ledford, Angela Hebbard; grandchildren, Donald Ledford Jr., Chasity and Matt Hutto, Lonnie Ledford Jr.; several great-grandchildren including, John Ledford, Grace Ledford; sister, Charlotte Smith; brother, Bill Horton; nephews, Jan Cook, Ken Cook; niece, Vickey Lynn Carter; bestie, Tammy Jones; lifelong friend, Dorothy Cox; neighbor, Shawna Savage; and David Tingle who was like a son to her.
A visitation for Ms. Faye Ledford will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Sardis Baptist Church at a later date.
