Mr. Herman Gerald Nicholson, age 71 of Barnesville, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at Navicent Health in Macon.

Mr. Nicholson was born on Tuesday, June 21, 1949 to the late Mr. Devoe Nicholson and the late Mrs. Ruby Estelle Dawson Nicholson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Andy Nicholson, and his brother, Leonard "Nick" Nicholson. Herman was a truck driver. He enjoyed dirt track and go-kart racing.

Mr. Nicholson is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary "Doll Baby" Johnson Nicholson; son, Tim Nicholson; sisters, Betty McDaniel, Janice Blount (Farris), and Joyce Swearingen.

A funeral service for Mr. Herman Nicholson will be Friday, August 21, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Pastor David Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
