Obituary

Mr. Homer B. Carreker of Barnesville, passed away Friday, August 14, 2009

In a Macon Health Care Facility. He was a native of Pike county but had lived in Lamar county for a number of years. Mr. Carreker was the son of the late Mr. Homer Carreker and the late Mrs. Gladys Stiger Carreker. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a member of First Baptist Church of Barnesville.


Survivors include his wife-Mrs. Barbara English Carreker- Daughters-

Cullen (Larry) Barnes of Barnesville and Judy (Bob) Garrette of Alpharetta GA

One Son- Mr Dickie (Carla) Carreker of Barnesville. 7 grandchildren

5 great grand children. 1-Sister-Mrs. Claire Adkerson- Lawrenceville GA

Brother- Mr. Jimmy Carreker-Calif. Several nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral Services for Mr. Homer B. Carreker will be conducted Monday, August 17

At 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Rev. Garth Forster officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

The Family will greet Friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm


In lieu of Flowers, the family suggests donations to the First Baptist Church of Barnesville, The Bus Fund, 200 Zebulon St. Barnesville, GA 30204.
