Mr. Howard Neal Johnston, age 76, of Jackson, GA passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at WellStar Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin.  Neal was born on Saturday, April 12, 1941 in Forsyth, GA to the late Eston Grant Johnston, Sr. and the late Lois Lucile Ricks Johnston.   He proudly served in the United States Army.  Neal was a member of Cabaniss Baptist Church.  He was a retired butcher for Stephens Grocery.  Neal enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his parents Eston and Lois Johnston; his brothers, Ray Johnston, Randy Johnston, and Eddy Johnston; and nephew, Kerry Wayne Johnson.

Neal is survived by his daughter, Wanda; sister, Ann Johnson; sister-in-law, Vicki Johnston; nieces, Becky Pitts, Jennifer Mason, Melinda Johnson; nephew, Derek Johnston; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
