Mr. Howard Carl Wright, age age 81, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Wright was a native of Canton, but had made his home in Barnesville for most of his life. Son of the late Mr. Reubin Wright and the late Mrs. Mamie Shepard Wright, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Thornquest, and by a son, Lonny Wright.Mr. Wright was Retired as a "Fixer" from the William Carter Company and was a member of Central Baptist Church of Barnesville. Mr. Wright was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

Survivors include: His wife of 59 years - Jackie Wright of Barnesville ; 3 Daughters - Delores (& Millard) Hurst of Milner ; Sheila (& Danny) Faulkner of Jackson ; & Tammy (& Terry) Wright of Barnesville ; 1 Son - Johnny Wright of Barnesville ; 11 Grandchildren ; & 21 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mr. Howard Carl Wright will be conducted Monday, June 27, 2011 at 2 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend Don King officiating. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 4pm until 6pm.
