Mr. Howell Farris Gunter, Age 77, of Barnesville passed away on Friday June 25, 2010 at a Spalding County Healthcare Facility. Mr. Gunter was a native of Fulton County, but made his home here in Lamar County for most of his life. Son of the late Mr. Waver Howell Gunter and the late Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Lovern Gunter, he was a Retired Customer Service Agent for United Airlines. Mr. Gunter was a member of the Riverdale United Methodist Church.

His survivors include - His wife of 56 years Mrs. Joan Gunter of Barnesville ; 2 Sons - Michael Farris Gunter of Lamar County ; & Mitchell Lee Gunter of Barnesville ; 1 Daughter - Pamela Ann Gunter New of McDonough; 3 Grandchildren - Ryan New & Jake New, both of McDonough & Skye Lynn Gunter of Griffin ; 1 Sister - Dellree Nave (& Paul) of Suwanee ; 1 Brother - Dennis Waver Gunter of Cape Canaveral, FL.

Funeral Services for Mr. Howell Farris Gunter will be conducted on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
