Mr. Ian Willam Long, age 23, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022.

Ian was born on Friday, December 10, 1999, in Thomaston, Georgia, to Bryan Douglas Long and Jessica Jennifer Waldrop Manley. Ian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William Eugene Waldrop, and Mary Garland Zotti. Ian loved all things family. He enjoyed vacationing, from the shores of the beach all the way to the tops of the Rocky Mountains. He enjoyed fishing for anything that would stretch a line. Ian was also a fisher of men. He loved church, his friends, and never met a stranger. Ian loved fashion, especially his Jordans. He was a die hard falcons fan. Whether it was announced or not, everything was a competition with him.

Ian is survived by his parents and their spouses; Jessica Jennifer Manley (Jason), Bryan Douglas Long (Meagan); step-brother, Kort Watson; paternal grandparents Randy and Lanie Long and Randel and DeeDee Gaskin; maternal grandmother Deborah Manley;  aunt Alexdandria Waldrop; uncles, Joseph Waldrop and Blake Long; best friend Dylan Deese.

A funeral service for Mr Ian Willam Long will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 12:00 Noon at Mountain View Baptist Church, 2569 Jeff Davis Road, Thomaston, Georgia with pastor Ryan Christopher and Pastor Eric McWaters officiating. Friends may visit with the family  from 11:00 A.M until 12:00 Noon at the church. Interment will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Jabbok Ministries, WestCare in Barnesville, or Circle of Hope in Ian's memory.
