Mrs. Irene Jackson, age 96, of Williamson, formerly of Barnesville passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 in a Griffin Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Jackson was a native of Manchester, but had made her home in Barnesville for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Mr. A.B. McCoy and the late Mrs. Annie Lois McCarter McCoy, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. J.W. Jackson, and by a daughter, Bebe Lois Jackson Whitaker of Barnesville. Mrs. Jackson Retired as a Legal Secretary for Harvey J. Kennedy, Attorney at Law, and was the oldest living member of Calvary Baptist Church in Barnesville.

Survivors include: Her Daughter - Peggy Elaine Jackson (& Randy) Holland of Bethlehem ; 4 Grandchildren - Joshua Jackson Holland of Carrollton, Jenny Miller Holland (& Chad) Gentry of Houschton, Lisa Michelle Whitaker (& Greg) Fuqua, & Ronda Lois Whitaker (& Jimmy) Wells ; 6 Great Grandchildren - Katelynn Bebe Fuqua, Jarrod Michael Fuqua, & Jacob Thomas Fuqua, all of Williamson, & Rachel Lynn Wells, Rebecca Lois Wells, & Jenna Leigh Wells, all of Guyton ; and a number of Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Irene Jackson will be conducted Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 3 O'Clock in the Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Calvary Baptist Church from 1pm until 3pm.
