Mr. Jackie Junior Sawyer, Sr. age, 79 of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Jackie was born on Wednesday, June 25, 1946, in Webb City, Missouri, to the late Jack Clifford Sawyer and the late Evelyn Louise Rickey Sawyer. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Sawyer and grandson, Danny Sawyer, Jr.

Jackie loved his wife, children and all of his grandkids very much. He loved the Lord and recently rededicated his life to the Lord. He was well respected by all of his friends and his people. He was a trendsetter in designing big paving trucks and travel trailers. He loved watching western movies and getting together with his friends. He was an avid gambler and loved going to the Casino. He would do anything for anybody in need and was loved very much by so many friends and family, he will be missed dearly,

Jackie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marlene Sawyer; sons, Danny Sawyer (Paula), Raymond Charlton (Michelle), Jay Sawyer (Barbara); daughter, Judy Sawyer, Rhonda Sawyer; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeannie Harlan, Joeann Sawyer, Julie Sawyer; brothers, Jimmy Sawyer, Jerry Sawyer, Jeffrey Sawyer. Several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Jackie Junior Sawyer, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home, with Debbie McFarland officiating. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 6:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
