Mr. James Richard (Jimmy) Blackmon, age 67, of Thomaston passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012 in a Bibb County Healthcare Facility. A native of The Rock, Mr. Blackmon was the son of the late Mr. James Clifford Blackmon and the late Mrs. Annie Lee Bentley Blackmon. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include: His wife - Sonja Martin Blackmon of Thomaston ; 3 Children - Beth (& Dewayne) Dukes of Thomaston, Jami (& Alan) Chastain of Thomaston, Jesse Blackmon of Thomaston, Grandchildren - Rachel(& John) Matheny, Jeremy Bishop, Amanda Dawson, Taylor Blackmon, Cassie Blackmon, & Kenzie Blackmon ; & 1 Great Grandchild - Aubrey Mae Dawson.

Memorial Service for Mr. James R. Blackmon will be conducted on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 11 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home.
