Mr. James Larry Evans, Sr., age 74, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018.

James was born on Sunday, May 28, 1944 in Dublin, Georgia to the late J.B. Evans and the late Willie Mae Hartley Evans. James was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Evans Fohey; sister, Geraldine Evans; brothers, John Evans, Bobby Gene Evans, and Herman Evans. James retired from Farrens Tree Surgeons. He loved to fish and garden and enjoyed spending time outdoors.

James is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Evans; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Patsy Evans; grandchildren, James and April Evans, Joanne Evans; five great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Hullett; brother, Carl Evans; in-laws, Doris Brown, Joyce Lavinsky, and Carolyn Evans; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. James Evans will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow in Jenkinsburg City Cemetery.
