James Jackson "Jack" Hay 79, passed away at his residence on Thursday. November 14, 2024.
Jack was born on Sunday, May 27, 1945, in Meansville, Georgia, to the late Andrew Jackson Hay and the late Annie Lou Hay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Rachele Castleberry Hay and their daughter, Julie Estelle Hay.
Jack was a stern man but loved his family very much, he was a loving father to his children and loved all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a truckdriver for over 40 years. He also worked for the Department of Corrections for 10 years and was a firearm instructor.
He is survived by his daughter Andrea Hay Anthony, of Barnesville and his sons:
James Jackson Hay Jr (Sabrina) of Thomaston, Mark Lewis Hay (Johnnie) of Meansville. Also, his bonus son Wade Castleberry, special care giver Ashley Buckner. Jack has 6 grandchildren; Rebecca (Chris) Bishop of Zebulon, Jaime (Travis) Holloway of Barnesville, Caleb Hay & Gabrielle Hay of Thomaston, Andrew (Chelsea) Hay of Thomaston and Hunter Hay of Meansville; 6 great grandchildren; Rachel, Ella, Jaksyn, Carter, Nova & Evee.
The Pallbearers are Wade Castleberry, Timmy Daniel, Tracey Coe, Andrew Hay, Hunter Hay, Caleb Hay
A Graveside service will be held for James Jackson "Jack" Hay on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. at Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Piedmont Road, Barnesville Georgia, with Chaplain Winfred Dixon officiating. Friends may visit with family at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home Barnesville, Georgia November 18, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. til 2:45 P.M.
