Mr. James Stephen “Steve” Henley, age 74, of Locust Grove, Georgia, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Steve was born on Thursday, May 15, 1952, in Perry, Georgia to the late Gilbert Stephens Henley and the late Eugenia Elizabeth Henley. He was a member of Rock Springs Church. Some of his hobbies included making paracord bracelets, photography, and woodworking. He was a big fan of NASCAR and all sports in general, especially UGA. He loved visiting Yosemite National Park in California. Steve was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy Henley; son, Steve Henley; granddaughter and spouse, Cora and Wyatt Hunter; brothers, Stan Henley, Steve Fletcher, Scott Fletcher; sisters, Sandra Elkins, Salli Hoard, Susie Mullis, several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A memorial service for Mr. Steve Henley will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Taylor McKneely officiating. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. before the service at the funeral home.
