Obituary

Mr. James Carlton "Bugs" Ingram, age 71, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026.



"Bugs" was born on Friday, December 17, 1954, in Griffin, Georgia to the late George Emory Ingram and the late Lexie Nona James Ingram. He is preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Bohannon; brothers, George Emerson Ingram and Joseph Eugene Ingram.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and driving his tractor. Mr. Ingram was a member of Worthville Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.



He is survived by his sisters, Helen Ingram, Shirley Gay; brothers, Olin Ingram and Richard Ingram; chihuahua dachshunds, Bonnie & Clyde; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.



A memorial service for Mr. James Carlton "Bugs" Ingram will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Kevin Farmer officiating. Friends may visit the family on Monday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider helping the family with funeral expenses by making a donation to the funeral home.
