Mr. James Robert Tullis, age 71, of McDonough, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at his residence.

James was born on Monday, July 10, 1950, in Jefferson, Georgia, to the late Robert Lamar Tullis and the late Edna Esterline Snellings Tullis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Edith Faye Culpepper. James was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Locust Grove. He enjoyed being outside, planting gardens, and all that God created. He was a man devoted to serving God in all areas of life, from cooking at special events at his church to preaching in prison ministry at various prisons. He truly rejoiced in seeing people's lives changed in only ways that could be done by God. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pam Tullis; children and their spouses, Anthony and Tiffany Tullis, Amanda and Kris Dawkins; grandchildren, Kody Dawkins, Emma Tullis, Isabella Tullis, Wade Dawkins and Katie Beth Dawkins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Bill Fox, Lanelle and Walter Paul.

Funeral services for Mr. James Tullis will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Heritage Baptist Church with Pastor Terrell Hopkins and Pastor Kris Dawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson City Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heritage Baptist Church C/O Mercy Mountain Girls Home, 1843 Peeksville Road Locust Grove, Georgia 30248 in memory of Mr. James Tullis.
