Mrs. Janice Swearingen Smith, age 72, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in an Upson County Healthcare facility. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Buren Swearingen and the late Mrs. Annie Dora Johnson Swearingen. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Mr. Wesley Lamar Swearingen. Mrs. Smith was a LPN at Riverside Nursing Home.

Survivors include: Husband – Douglas Smith of Hastings Fl.; Daughter – Janet "Sissy" Holmes (& Al) of Thomaston Ga.; Son – Thomas Edward Hunt (& Diane ) of Milner Ga.; Sister – Georgia Ann Kominsky (& John) of Concord Ga.; Brother – Ray Swearingen (& Joyce ) of Riverdale Ga.; and Grandchildren - Mendi Marie Hunt, Amanda Ann Hunt, Anna Lynn Holmes, and Alyssa Nicole Holmes.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Janice Swearingen Smith will be conducted Friday, July 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home at 11 0'clock with the Reverend Ken Burk officiating. Interment will follow in Lamar memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 10 0'clock until the service hour.
