Mrs. Dorothy Jeanette Torbert Brinkley, age 78, of Barnesville passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at her Residence. Mrs. Brinkley was a life long resident of Lamar County, and the Owner of Brinkley's Daycare in Barnesville. Mrs. Brinkley was preceded in death by her husband, the late Mr. Henry William Brinkley, Jr, and her son, the late Mr. Glenn Brinkley.

Survivors include 2 Daughters – Joanne (& Barry) Jones of Barnesville ; & Jean Brinkley of Barnesville ; 1 Sister - Jeanelle Vestal (& Joe) of Dickson, TN ; 2 Brothers - Dave Torbert (& Beth) of Barnesville ; & Rev. Herbert Torbert, Jr. of Barnesville ; 3 Grandsons - Jake Brinkley, Jonathan Fortner, & Jeremy (& Olivia) Fortner ; 6 Great Grandchildren - Gabe, Noah, Madison, Lincon, Marianna, & Mallory Fortner ; Several Nieces, Nephews. & Other Relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 2 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 6pm – 8pm at Williams Funeral Home.
