Mrs. Jennie Faye Hamby, age 86, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Faye was born on Monday, December 16, 1935, in Key West, Florida, to the late Thomas Fremont Curry and the late Nina Merline Curry. Faye attended First Baptist Church of Barnesville. She loved God, her family, and her numerous friends. Faye met her husband Larry in Key West while he was stationed there in the United States Navy. They married shortly after, and moved to Larry's hometown of Barnesville, Georgia.

Faye is survived by her husband Larry Eugene Hamby, Sr.; children, Janet Richardson Jones & husband Wayne, Julie Richardson Rogers, Thomas Richardson & wife Matilda, Kristin Hamby Irvin & husband Gregg, "Sonny" Larry Hamby, Jr.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as one sister, Sandra Curry Schreadley.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Faye Hamby will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jason Teal officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Private interment will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery.
