Mrs. Jeraldine "Jeri" Davis, age 73, of Jackson, GA, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019, at Sylvan Grove Hospital in Jackson. She was born Sunday, December 30, 1945, in Millen, GA, daughter of the late William Strickland and the late Susie Mae Johnson Strickland. Mrs. Jeri was a retired CNA for the  Georgia Department of Corrections, and she attended Westside Baptist Church. Mrs. Jeri loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Davis, and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Jeri is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kerrie and Greg Chatham; son, Cliff Davis; grandson, Billy Davis; granddaughter, Ella Davis, all of Jackson; sister, Eula McMillan of Hoschton, Louise Sherrod of Millen; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mrs. Jeraldine "Jeri" Davis will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Nathan Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson City Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
