Mr. Jessie Victor "Vic" James, age 83, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026.

Vic was born on Monday, January 25, 1943, in Jackson, Georgia to the late Wallace Jackson James and the late Lila Wright Strawn James. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Edwin, Lamar, Thomas Lee, Marvin, Randall, Aubrey, Roslyn, Vickie, Linda, W.A. James; and son-in-law, Adam Smith.  Vic was a member of Abundant Life Church where he loved hearing his son-in-law preach. He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, and the Atlanta Falcons. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandkids.

Vic is survived by his loving wife, Betty James; children, Mike James (Lynn), Karen Yancy (Cindy), Debbie Smith; Lisa Hosford (Jeremy); grandchildren, Robert James, Lance James, Matthew James, Jessica Bass (Lance), Courtney Bernhardt (Bryant), Sam Rafferty (Patrick), Tori Bartlett (Vernon), A.J. Smith (Sara), Jeshua Hosford (Hannah); great-grandchildren, Zayden, Zara, Laura, Nova, Kaylee, Karsin, Ava, Canaan, Quinn, Jack; brother, Jackie James; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A funeral service for Mr. Vic James will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Abundant Life Church with Apostle Jeremiah Hosford officiating. Interment will follow at Flovilla North Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
