Mrs. Jimmie Moon Peterson, age 84, of Jackson, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her residence. She was born on Sunday, November 3, 1929 in Winder, GA. Mrs. Peterson was a member of Cedar Rock Church, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jerry Wells, Roy Moon, and Lester Mize.

Mrs. Peterson is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ollie Peterson of Jackson; daughter, Linda Thomason, of Jackson; 2 sons, Richard and Jane Peterson of East Point, Wayne and Deborah Peterson of Conyers; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; several nieces and nephews

Funeral services for Mrs. Jimmie Peterson will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Preston Bridges and Reverend Greg Johns officiating. Interment will be at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening.
