Ms. Joan Wynnell McMichael, 85, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Wynnell was born on Thursday, February 13,1941, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Howard Edward Carver, and the late Eleanor Willie Wynn. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Lamar McMcMichael, brother; Jimmy Carver, sister-in-law; Martha Jo Carver and great-grandson; Kyson White

Wynnell loved her TV shows and watching the Atlanta Braves, which she never missed a game. Most of all though, she loved her family.

Wynnell is survived by her children; Karen Green, Ricky McMichael (Kimmy), grandchildren; Amanda Osborne (Justin), Matt McMichael (Amy), Josh Green (Michelle), Brittany Miles, Jeremy Green (Tori), Kendra Dills, Ricky McMichael (Alley), 18 great-grandchildren, brother; Randy Carver, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, September 24, 2026 in the chapel of Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home with Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. prior to the service.
