Mrs. JoAnn Blankenship Smoot, age 88, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at her home.

JoAnn was born on Saturday, August 31, 1935, to the late Boyd Blankenship and the late Pearl Matney Blankenship. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lee Smoot; daughter, Deborah Susan Smoot, daughter-in-law; Kimberly Smoot.

JoAnn is survived by; children and their spouses, Steven Wayne Smoot, Thomas Lee & Debbie Smoot, Caroline Kay & William Harris, and Julie Ann & Thomas Knott; 5 grandchildren; 3 great- grandchildren.
