Mr. Joe Bell Patrick, Sr., age 74, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1940 in Jackson to the late James Edwin Patrick and the late Sallie Jane McClendon Patrick. Joe loved the outdoors, his family, and church. He was a member of Towaliga Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Robert Patrick.

Joe is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Patrick; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe B. Patrick, Jr. and Tina and Michael D. Patrick and Mandy; grandchildren, Clint Patrick, Krystle and Josh Whitten; step-grandchildren, Trenten Gresham, Lexi Stephens, and Kaley Stephens; great-grandchildren, Micah Whitten, Levi Whitten, and Kendall Whitten; sisters, Betty James, Martha King, and Dale Fendley; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Dixie.

Funeral services for Joe Patrick, Sr. will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Towaliga Baptist Church with Reverend Jay Sanders and Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions be made to the Towaliga Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 674, Jackson, GA 30233.
