Mr. Joe Center Pearman, age 84, of Barnesville was called to heaven on Sunday, March 17, 2013. Mr. Pearman was born in Thomaston to the late Mr. Monroe Cone Pearman and the late Mrs. Sarah Vee Haggans Pearman Birch. Mr. Pearman retired after 41 years as a local businessman and a deeply involved member of this community. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville for 57 years, where he served in several positions, including Chairman of the Administrative Board, Chairman of the Trustees, President of The Methodist Men's Club, & was a Charter Member of the Adult Sunday School Class. He was also a Past President of the Jaycees and the Kiwanis Club.

He leaves behind a loving family: His wife - Tina Pearman of Barnesville ; Daughters - Marybeth (& Mark) Stone of Barnesville, and Maureen (& Bobby) York of Barnesville ; Son - Joe R. (& Joanne M.) Pearman of Lakeville, MN ; Grandchildren - Kristen (& Rik) Lane of Macon, Meredith Stone of Atlanta, Allison York of Barnesville, & Mac Pearman of Lakeville, MN ; Great Grandchildren - Rhett and Jack Lane, both of Macon ; & Sister-in-law - Faye Pearman of Norfolk, VA.

On Tuesday, March 19, 2013, the 63rd Anniversary of the start of his devoted marriage to his sweetheart Tina, we will celebrate the remarkable life of Joe C. Pearman. Services will be conducted at 2 O'Clock in the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. Dr. Sam Coker, and the Reverends Jay Tenney, Dana Overton Garrett, & Garth Forster will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 6pm until 8pm.

The family has asked, in lieu of flowers, that Memorial Contributions be made to The First United Methodist Church, 375 Thomaston Street, Barnesville, GA 30204.
