Mr. Joel Henry Vaughn, Jr. age 70, of Barnesville, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at his home.

Mr. Vaughn was born on Sunday, August 5, 1951, to the late Joel Henry Vaughn, Sr. and Dorothy Zellner Vaughn. He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his infant daughter, Stephanie Anne Vaughn. Joel was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loving every day. He loved his family dearly and never knew a stranger; he would talk to anyone. He was a best friend to all. He was known by his family as the best man ever and his memory will be treasured forever.

Joel is survived by his loving wife of 51 years; Kathy Clark Vaughn, children and their spouses; Michael Vaughn and Amy Keadle Vaughn, Joel Brandon Vaughn and Melanie Reeves Vaughn, grandchildren; Kaleb Vaughn, Victoria Vaughn, Becca Vaughn, Braden Vaughn, great-grandchild; Harper Vaughn, sister; Martha Allison (Harvey), brothers; Danny Ray Vaughn (Kathy White), Jerry Vaughn (Lawanda). A host of extended family also survive.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
