Mr. John Neil Adams, age 79, of Jackson, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at his residence. John was born on Sunday, April 4, 1937 in Kentucky. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. After retiring from Delta, John drove a school bus for Butts County for 11 years. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. John loved to spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Mae and Bud Hightower.

John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Thompson Adams; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Sandy Adams; and granddaughter, Hayley Adams.

Grave side funeral services for Mr. John Adams will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Lane Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at .
