Mr. John Ira Garrett, Sr., age 78, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin.

John was born Sunday, March 5, 1944, to the late Robert Thomas Garrett and the late Ruby Payne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ann Williams Garrett as well as son, Robbie Glenn, Sr. John was a dedicated father, grand-father, and family man. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard.

John is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, John Garrett, Jr. & wife Sandy, Tommy Garrett; grandchildren, Robbie Glenn, Jr., John Ryan Garrett, Jared Garrett, Brayden Mann, Ivey Garrett, mother-in-law, Christine Williams, several nieces, and nephews also survive.

A graveside funeral service for Mr. John Ira Garrett, Sr., will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 1:30 P.M. in Lamar Memory Gardens with Pastor Mark Harshbarger officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
