Mr. John Cornelius West, age 69, of Barnesville passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 in an Upson County Healthcare Facility. A native of Lamar County, Mr. West was the son of Mr. Fred West and the late Mrs. Lee Cagle West. Mr. West was a Kiln Technician with Jordan Lumber Company and was a member of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include: His wife - Mary Vicari West of Barnesville ; His Father - Fred West of Barnesville ; 1 Daughter - Mitzi (& Cliff) O'Hearn of Griffin ; 1 Son - Jonathan (& Cristi) West of Griffin ; 3 Step-sons - Robert (& Linda) Waterman of Barnesville, George (& Julie) Waterman of Chester, & Sam Waterman of Barnesville ; 2 Sisters - Pat (& Bud) Leggett of Barnesville, & Barbara (& Mike) Puckett of Canton ; 10 Grandchildren ; 5 Great Grandchildren ; & A Number of Nieces, Nephews, & Other Relatives.

Funeral Services for Mr. John West will be conducted Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 1 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend Buren Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Monday evening (April 9th) from 6pm until 8pm.
