Ms. Joyce Ann Scarborough, age 89, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at her home.

Joyce was born on Wednesday, October 31, 1934, in Rome, Georgia to the late Jethro John Bailey and the late Mary Frances Thompson Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Scarborough; as well as one sister, Jean Whitfield. Joyce was an avid gardener, she loved to plant all things from flowers to vegetables.

Joyce is survived by her children, John Douglas Hipshire, James Alan Hipshire, Cheryl Susanne Osborne; grandchildren, Christopher Alan Piper, Kelly Brandon Piper (Amy), Amber Nicole Flournoy, A.J. Flournoy (Ashley); 6 great-grandchildren; one nephew, Bobby Whitfield.

A Funeral Service for Ms. Joyce Scarborough will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. in Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Reverend Amy Smith officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
