Joyce Lanette Stephens, age 70, of Jackson, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at her residence. She was born on August 17, 1943 in Scottdale, GA to the late Alan Sanford Jones and the late Ida Bell Pilgram Jones. She was a member of Living Waters Baptist Tabernacle in Oxford. Joyce coached softball for many years in Jackson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Jupie Jones, Raymond Jones, Robert Jones, and Gene Jones; and sisters, Elizabeth Jones Summers and Marie Jones Roper.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 53 years, Reverend George Alfred Stephens; children and their spouses, Angie and David Pollard, Barbara Holbrook, Mark and Dee Stephens, Michael and Beth Stephens, Brandon Stephens; 13 grandchildren;

5 great-grandchildren; a sister Rachael Raines; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Joyce Stephens will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Living Waters Baptist Tabernacle with Reverend George A. Stephens officiating. At her request, after the service, the family will visit and enjoy lunch with friends at the church. You may bring a covered dish if you wish.
