Mrs. Joyce Andrews Ware, age 86, of Barnesville passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 in a Upson County Healthcare Facility. A native of Brisbane, Australia, Mrs. Ware had made her home in Lamar County for most of her life. Daughter of the late Mr. George Andrews and the late Mrs. Isabella Fennell Andrews, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William Michael Ware, Sr.. Mrs. Ware had previously worked as a Seamstress for The William Carter Company, and had Retired as a Para-pro from The Lamar County Board of Education. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. In her early life, Mrs. Ware found a love for tennis. By the age of 12, she had become the Women's Champion in Queensland, Australia. This career was cut short at the onset of WWII, but she never lost her love for the game. Her tennis was second only to spending time with her family.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters - Judy (& John) Oliver of Claxton & Susan (& Tony) Byars of Barnesville ; 2 Sons - Mike (& Page) Ware of Stone Mountain & Gary (& Missy) Ware of Milner ; 5 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 4 Step-Great Grandchildren, and Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Joyce Andrews Ware will be conducted Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 11 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend John Norman officiating. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday evening (9-15-09) from 6pm until 8pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that Memorial Contributions be made to The FERST Foundation of Lamar County, c/o Kelly Hughes, Lamar County Library, 401 Thomaston Street, Barnesville, GA 30204.
