Mrs. Julia Renee Williams Torbert, age 91, of Barnesville passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 in a Barnesville Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Torbert was born in Butts County to the late Mr. William Oscar Williams and the late Mrs. Clara Susan Thaxton Williams. She was a retired Seamstress from the William Carter Company and a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville. Mrs. Torbert was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Homer Torbert, her two sons, Mr. Jerry Torbert and Mr. Terry Torbert, her two Sisters, and her six brothers.

Survivors include 2 Daughters – Mrs. Nancy Torbert Broadaway of Barnesville ; Mrs. Judy (& Charles) Torbert Walker of Macon ; Grandchildren – Meredith (& Chris) Chase of Arcata, CA ; & John Walker of Macon ; a Great Granddaughter – Claire Chase ; & a number of Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Julia Williams Torbert will be conducted on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 2 O'Clock from the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Monday, March 14, 2011 from 6pm until 8 pm at Williams Funeral Home.
